John ChaneyArrived: May 1910 - Quebec City, Quebec, Canada
John Chaney, better known as Jack London, was an American novelist, journalist, and activist. A pioneer of commercial fiction and American magazines, he was among the first American authors to achieve international fame and amass a substantial fortune from writing. He also played a key role in shaping the genre that would later be recognized as science fiction. His most famous works, The Call of the Wild and White Fang, are set in Alaska and the Yukon during the Klondike Gold Rush.
